Terms of use

The service

Picafelli lets you draw, furnish and visualise a home in 2D and 3D, browse a catalogue of materials, and save and share your projects. It is free. If paid features are ever added, they will be announced clearly before anything is charged, and nothing you use today will start costing money without your agreement.

Your account

You need to be 15 or over to create an account. Give a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at contact@picafelli.com if you think someone else is using your account. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page.

Your projects

What you design is yours. You give Picafelli only the permission it needs to store your projects, show them to you on your devices, and show them on their public link page (see below).

Do not upload anything you have no right to use, or anything unlawful, offensive or that infringes someone else's rights — this includes the pictures you upload as floor plans.

Public links

Every project saved to your account can be opened by anyone who has its link, and they can make their own copy of it in the studio. Their copy is theirs and never changes yours. Do not put anything in a project's name or design that you would not want someone with the link to see.

Measurements and AI are estimates

Room scans, floor plans read by AI, quantities, dimensions and prices shown by Picafelli are estimates to help you imagine and plan. They can be wrong. Check every measurement, and take professional advice, before you build, order or pay for anything.

When you use the AI assistant or the plan upload with your own API key, your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and billed by it, not by Picafelli. AI answers can be wrong; every change the assistant makes can be undone.

Claude, ChatGPT and other chat apps

When you connect Picafelli to a chat app, you authorise that app to read, create and change the projects saved to your account on your behalf. Changes it makes are treated as changes you made — including removing walls, levels or furniture. The chat app itself is provided by another company under its own terms. You can withdraw the access at any time in that app's settings.

Catalogues and third-party content

Some 3D models are by other authors under Creative Commons licences; they are credited on the Credits page. Products, producers and prices in the Mediterranean Materials catalogue are given for information, from the producers' own published information, and may have changed. Picafelli does not sell these products; links to producers lead to their own sites and terms.

Fair use

Do not try to break, overload or get around the security of Picafelli, access other people's accounts or projects, or copy the catalogues in bulk by automated means. We may suspend an account that does.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Picafelli available and your projects safe, but the service is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or lose data. Keep your own copy of anything important to you.

To the extent the law allows, Picafelli is not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions taken on the basis of an estimate shown by the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms; the new version is published here with a new date. If a change matters to how you use your account, we will tell you by email beforehand. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Before going to court, write to us at contact@picafelli.com: most problems are solved that way.
