Producer
Founded in 1912 by Georges Libéron in a shop in the faubourg Saint-Antoine, the Paris quarter of cabinetmakers and gilders, who were the house's first customers. The waxes, patinas and wood varnishes came from there, and the wall paint long afterwards; its 163 Faubourg range still carries the original address.
Two colour cards today — *Velours de Peinture* and *163 Faubourg* — whose shade names are a small geography of France in themselves, from Vert Picholine to Beige Bouillon. The house belongs to the Jura group V33, which makes it at Domblans: it is here for its colour card, not for its latitude.
