Ökobo

A retailer, not a maker: Ökobo is an ecological building-materials shop run by Yohann Klein from La Roche-sur-Yon. It formulates nothing — it distributes in France four German houses that do: Kreidezeit, Auro, Beeck and ClayTec.

Which is why it is here: between them those four cover almost every mineral binder on this page — lime, silicate, clay and casein — with compositions published ingredient by ingredient, which very few makers do. Kreidezeit's smooth lime paint is slaked marble lime, marble powders and sands, methylcellulose and citric acid, tinted with the shop's own pigments.
