Productor13290 Aix-en-Provence
Mercadier manufactures mineral decorative finishes in Aix-en-Provence: trowelled béton ciré systems (EBC, PMB, Finition Béton Lisse), self-levelling poured floors (SC+, AXXX), lime plasters, renders and paints. Each system has its own colour card — the EBC alone runs to more than eighty shades — sold from a trial pot up to a 29.5 kg sack. Every product publishes its yield per kilo, its application thickness by substrate and a technical data sheet, so a surface can be costed rather than bought as a fixed kit.

Productor26300 Châteauneuf-sur-Isère
A French maker of béton ciré, lime finishes and decorative paints based in the Drôme, at the foot of the silica quarries and white-cement deposits it draws on. The Iris colour card runs to eighty-seven shades, sold as kits by destination — interior floor, terrace, bathroom, stair, worktop. Samples are made by hand in the workshop at 6 × 5 cm or 30 × 60 cm: at that size a béton ciré is judged as a material rather than as a colour on a screen.

Productor13109 Simiane-Collongue
A béton ciré manufacturer and distributor based at Simiane-Collongue, north of Marseille, since 2005. The range is organised as complete kits by use — floor, wall, stair, bathroom, kitchen — shipped with the tools and the method, for DIY customers and applicators alike. The showroom on the ZA du Hameau des Frênes shows the shades as applied, and the products are also carried by the large DIY chains.

Productor13400 Aubagne
A French manufacturer of waterproofing products, béton ciré and renovation paints, established in the Paluds industrial zone at Aubagne since 1995. Its kits are sold by destination — wall, bathroom, worktop, stair, fireplace, exterior, over tile — each holding primer, mortar, resin, pore-filler and varnish, across a forty-shade colour card. Its Maison Étanche shop prices every kit both outright and per square metre, in four languages.

ProductorAix-en-Provence
A maker of decorative-concrete products — béton ciré, printed, stamped and marbled concrete — preparing its orders from a workshop in Aix-en-Provence. The béton ciré comes in thirty-six shades, sold either by the component or as complete kits from two square metres up. Prices are degressive and quoted as factory prices: this is a manufacturer selling direct, with no distribution network in between.

Productor45200 Montargis
A family firm founded in 2008, both applicator and manufacturer of its own béton ciré line, with a hundred-square-metre showroom at Montargis. Kits cover three to twenty square metres and come by use — floor, wall, worktop, shower, fireplace, stair, furniture. The colour card is deliberately short at fifteen shades, from gull grey to anthracite by way of turquoise and poppy red.

Revendedor30210 Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan
For close to forty years this Gard house has been shaping bespoke decorative concrete: paving, tiles, pool copings, furniture, renders and béton ciré. Workshop and showroom sit at Saint-Hilaire-d'Ozilhan, between Nîmes and Avignon, with a second showroom at Muret. Its béton ciré shares a catalogue with terracotta and zellige, which makes it a direct point of comparison between a floor and the wall above it.

ProductorTreviso
A Venetian decorative-concrete house at Vedelago near Treviso, whose systems — Microtopping, Nuvolato Architop, Lixio, Rasico — are laid by a network of trained applicators rather than sold as kits. Prices are not public: this is a reference for colour cards, finishes and methods, not a shop.

Revendedor13112 La Destrousse
Matériaux Écologiques Provence keeps a shop at La Destrousse, in the hills behind Marseille: natural paints, lime and clay plasters, cork, solid wood floors — and a béton ciré kit range in some fifty shades, from about twenty euros the square metre. Each shade is its own product, photographed as it is actually trowelled, and sold by area: 2 to 32 m². The house also runs courses in lime and clay, which says a good deal about who it is for.

Productor84400 Apt
The firm has quarried and washed ochre at Apt since 1901, beside the last working ochre quarry in Europe at Gargas. Four generations of one family, awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant mark in 2017. The colour is made here, and the range follows from it: limewashes (Badisof, Badisof Plus), lime renders (Sofodor, Sofolith), tadelakt, tinted plasters, flour paints — and the card of natural pigments all of them are drawn from.

Productor24110 Saint-Astier
An independent family firm approaching its centenary, firing the siliceous chalky limestone of the Saint-Astier basin in the Dordogne. That stone yields a natural lime that is both non-hydraulic and faintly hydraulic at once, with nothing added — the French reference for old buildings. Three strengths in the catalogue — Téréchaux NHL 2, Chaux Blanche LC NHL 3.5 and Tradi 100 NHL 5 — plus the mortars and renders drawn from them. It is the binder under a good many of the limewashes and stuccos sold elsewhere.

Productor30100 Alès
A Cévennes maker at Alès, preparing its materials the old way: limewash and marmorino built from lime putty, linseed oil and limewater. Two colour cards, one per product — a wash and a stucco do not take the same shades, and the house would rather say so in two cards than in one.

Productor41049 Sassuolo
An Emilian house at Sassuolo whose Biocalce line is lime as an industrial maker sees it: an EN 459-1 certified NHL 3.5 plaster, a lime-putty stucco, an earth-pigment wash, each with its data sheet and its GreenBuilding rating. It is the far end of the trade from a limewash workshop — standardised products, available anywhere, whose yield and vapour permeability are known before the sack is opened.

Productor38055 Grigno
As much a research centre as a maker, in the Valsugana: the house studies Roman and Phoenician mortars in order to make them again, and can reproduce the render of a building under restoration from a sample of the original. The catalogue reads as that programme — Calce Pozzolanica Pantheon, non-hydraulic lime cold-mixed with natural pozzolans after Vitruvius, cocciopesto renders — rather than as a card of shades.

Productor30133 Les Angles
One of the last independent paint makers in France, at Les Angles across the river from Avignon. The house descends from the Société Provençale du Blanc Fixe, Ocres et Couleurs, founded in 1946 to work the ochre quarries of Roussillon: the Luberon connection is not a brand story, it is where the company came from. More than six hundred shades on the card, the interior decorative range rated A+ for emissions, and the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant mark since 2018.

Productor16121 Genova
Genoese since 1831, when Bartolomeo Boero opened a workshop making white lead — for centuries the only white there was. The house never left the city: its seat is the Palazzo Boero on via Macaggi, dated 1926. Three trades since: architectural paints, marine and yachting. This is the colour of Ligurian façades, whose painted renders are most of what that coast looks like.

Productor30020 Marcon
Colorificio San Marco, founded in 1962 and named for Venice, sits at Marcon on the mainland. It has since become the head of a group holding several decorative brands, Novacolor among them. The catalogue runs to vapour-permeable water-based paints, lime products — Antica Calce foremost — thick coatings and tinting pastes: the paint maker that reaches furthest into lime, which makes it the natural neighbour of the renders on this site.

Productor95220 Herblay-sur-Seine
